- Gregory Paul Pronko was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Jean and Myron Pronko.. Greg graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School (Harrisburg) 1980 PA Big 33 State Football Team. He graduated from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA and played wide receiver for the Owls. Greg earned a BBA degree and took acting courses at Temple and Drexel Universities. After a few unsuccessful NFL free agent tryouts he pursued a business and acting career.
He started with background roles in television/movies from Invincible, Rocky Balboa, The Wire, a fighter in The Last Airbender to a basketball player guarding Woody Harrelson in Friends with Benefits (2011) His theatre experience from 2005 to present has been local to Philadelphia Community Theatre. He is a physical actor who has also had stage combat and dance roles as in A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum (Miles Gloriosus). He has also performed as a supernumerary in operas Tosca and Torandot at The Academy of Music, Philadelphia, PA and War & Peace at the Kennedy Center, Washington, DC.
Greg has had supporting roles in various indie films and principle credits in films such as How Do You Know, Paranoia, Boardwalk Empire (Season 3), Backfire, Audrey's Children (2024)
