- Realism is a form of hypocrisy. We are telling stories that take place in simulated worlds. Genre films are just more honest about that than others.
- We are liars. Oh, yes we are! We tell stories about dragons & other dimensions. We create zombies and post-apocalyptic car races. We invent the saddest love tragedies and the most frightening tales of being trapped in the afterlife. We earn our money by putting lies on a screen in a darkened room. And hopefully, sometimes we are able to tell some kind of a truth, shining through our fairy tales.
