Mini bio

  • Bethany Dwyer is a stand up comedian, writer, actor, and director from the South Side of Chicago, and she still has the accent to prove it. She moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of creating, writing, and directing original comedy and horror projects for television and film. Her acting career includes guest appearances on The Office, Masters of Sex, and Nickelodeon's Fred: The Show, along with film roles in Drunk Wedding and A Thousand Words. Bethany also produced and appeared in four seasons of MTV's Disaster Date. She went on to create and sell her first original series, The Ex and the Why, which aired for 26 episodes on MTV. Her short film GRANDPA: The Horror-which she wrote, produced, directed, and starred in-earned 11 festival awards and recognition across the horror community. In 2025, Bethany released her first self help book, Break Free from Fear: 8 Steps to Unlock Your Innate Superpowers. For over a decade, she has worked as a fear expert and transformational speaker, leading programs in addiction treatment and mental health centers nationwide. Bethany is married to film composer and musician Sean Fetterman. Together they form the band Haunted Heir and co host the comedic podcast A Couple of Nuts: Talking.
