- Tony did a lot of theatre work but didn't appear at the prestigious annual Shakespearean festival in his home town of Ludlow until he was almost 49 before returning to Ludlow Castle two years later.
- Fellow Salopian actor Tim Preece was born just 8 days before Anthony. The two met whilst at Bristol University and appeared together in Much Ado About Nothing at Ludlow Castle in 1997. Tim touchingly shared his memories of two lads from Shropshire at Anthony's funeral in March 2012 .
