- Damon Maulucci is an award-winning film director, writer, and educator best known for his features, Detonator, Paul Williams Still Alive, and the short film Florida Moves.
Detonator premiered at Cinequest, the Brooklyn Film Festival, and the Philadelphia Film Festival, among others. Short-listed for an Independent Spirit Award and distributed both theatrically and digitally, Detonator was praised by Variety, Village Voice, The Wall Street Journal, Film Threat, and Filmmaker Magazine.
A graduate of Columbia University's MFA Film Program, Damon's student shorts Bad Light and Little Man screened internationally. Damon also served as a Producer on the documentary Paul Williams Still Alive, which premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival and SXSW.
For over fifteen years, Damon has balanced teaching screenwriting and filmmaking with his own creative work. He is a Professor at Ringling College of Art and Design (RCAD)-ranked among The Hollywood Reporter's top 25 film schools-where he was awarded a grant to write and direct Florida Moves, a community-focused film that has since played at festivals including Dances With Films, Jacksonville, Sunscreen (St. Petersburg), and Sarasota.
