Biography

Jourdan Samuel Biziou was born in Los Angeles California. From an early age he was in love with science fiction and cartoons, and like most children of the time had his young mind blown opened and expanded with Starwars and Jaws. Born into a family of film makers. His uncle Peter Biziou being an Academy Award winning DP, Father Paul an editor, and grandfather a special FX camera man. Growing up Jourdan would draw cartoons and write many stories and storyboards. Biziou studied art at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and at the Vancouver film school in Vancouver Canada.

Jourdans start in the film industry began as a Jr. animator on Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius in 2000, continuing on for several seasons of the TV show. In 2005 Jourdan moved back to California to work on a variety of film, game and commercial projects. In 2009 Biziou joined The Third Floor Inc as a visualization artist, and for the past 9 years has been a Visualization Supervisor on such projects as, Mazerunner 1 and 2, Jumanji, Deadpool 2, Dune, Shazam 2, and most recently Monarch Legacy of Monsters part of the Godzilla universe.

Jourdan also has a love of cinematography and has acted as DP on several short films. With the advancement of cellphone technology Jourdan has created many shots as a way to express ideas quickly with little to no overhead, and incorporating visual effects with off the shelf software such as Blender. Jourdan loves to teach and mentor, and is constantly encouraging younger film makers to just grab their phone and make something with what they have available. In 2019 Jourdan married the love of his life actress Gabriella Gonzalez Biziou, and today is pursuing directing as the next evolution of his creative process.
