- Karmarkar is best known for her work as set decorator on the feature film drama "Whiplash" (nominated for five Academy Awards including Best Picture) as well as thriller "The Purge" and comedy "Hello, My Name is Doris" starring Sally Field. In television and streaming, her work as set decorator can be seen in the pilot episode of "Corporate" on Comedy Central, "Mayans MC" on FX, the pilot episode for Disney + limited series "Ms. Marvel" and the 1960s true crime period piece "Lady in the Lake" starring Natalie Portman. She is a graduate of UCLA's School of Film Theater & Television and member of the Set Decorators Society of America (SDSA).
