Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Peter von Matt was born on 20 May 1937 in Lucerne, Switzerland. He was an editor, known for Zimmer 202 - Peter Bichsel in Paris (2010), Merzluft (2015) and Der Meienberg (1999). He was married to Beatrice von Matt. He died on 21 April 2025.

He taught modern German literature at the University of Zurich for about 25 years.

The writer was a member of the Order Pour le Mérite for Science and the Arts and the German Academy for Language and Poetry.
