Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Samantha is an actress, writer-director, former professional dancer and chef-entrepreneur whose global life across London, New York and Los Angeles fuels her storytelling. She is the first Malaysian Lifetime Member of The Actors Studio.
Samantha created, wrote, directed and starred in "Ally Chia", a short on Prime Video selected for Amazon’s All Voices Film Festival and the second round of The MACRO Episodic Lab powered by The Blacklist. She followed it with the prequel series "Ally Chia Begins", and is now developing the feature version. Samantha is also currently shooting a cooking show for her real-life food brand Sam Tan’s Kitchen, coming soon to her YouTube channel @samtanskitchen.
