Biography

Matt Schwartz is an 2x Emmy Award-winning sound designer, audio engineer, and re-recording mixer with over 15 years of experience crafting immersive narratives for feature films, documentaries, and major broadcast events. His professional portfolio includes work for global platforms such as Netflix, Disney, and Hulu (notably the series Call Her Alex) and his projects have screened at premier festivals including Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW, and Cannes. In 2023, he received an Emmy Award for his technical and creative contributions to Fox Sports’ coverage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. And in 2026 he received another Emmy for working on the MLB World Series. Beyond his production credits, Matt served as an Audio Instructor at the Los Angeles Recording School, where he authored specialized curriculum in their bachelors degree program to train the next generation of sound professionals.
