Jen West is a filmmaker, producer, and writer whose work blends emotional depth, magical realism, and bold Southern storytelling. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, she is known for her award-winning shorts Crush, Bubble, and Little Cabbage, along with the widely viewed music video Call Me for St. Paul and The Broken Bones.
Her films have screened at festivals across the United States and abroad, and she currently serves on the board of the Cucalorus Film Festival. As a creative producer and narrative development lead, Jen collaborates closely with writers and directors to shape story, refine scripts, and guide projects from early concept through post-production.
Jen recently produced the feature film A Fresh Hell, written and directed by Brandon Harris. Now based in Los Angeles, she is developing a slate of original features and long-form projects that explore identity, reinvention, and the emotional worlds we carry.
