Biography

Peter Yost has directed dozens of documentaries across a wide range of topics, spanning science, history, culture, and politics. His projects have been nominated for multiple Emmy Awards, a Columbia-Dupont Award, and a Writer's Guild Award, among others. He also won the Library of Congress Lavine/Ken Burns Prize for Film, and has had two projects named to "Variety's Best Documentaries of the Year" list. Richard Brody of The New Yorker said that Yost works with "a deft touch and a brisk sense of wonder." He is the founder of the Brooklyn-based company, Pangloss Films.
