Ann Power was born on 5 April 1928 in Paris, France. She was married to Oskar Werner. She died on 25 December 2011 in North Hampton, New Hampshire, USA.
She spoke French, English and German. Upon her death, she requested contributions to be made in her memory to the Public Broadcasting System in Arlington, Virginia or the New Hampshire Public Radio in Concord, New Hampshire.
