Taja V. Simpson is an award-winning actress, producer, entrepreneur, and international bestselling author known for her emotionally grounded performances and commanding screen presence. With more than 60 film and television credits, Simpson has built a reputation for versatility, professionalism, and powerful storytelling across major networks and streaming platforms including Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon. She is widely recognized for her role as Priscilla Owens, a series regular on BET's Tyler Perry's The Oval, appearing in more than 175 episodes across seven seasons. Her performance on the hit drama has earned her a loyal audience and established her as a compelling dramatic force on television. Simpson also appeared opposite Tyler Perry in Madea's Destination Wedding on Netflix.

Simpson has now taken center stage as the title character and series lead in AMC's ALLBLK drama Jupiter Jones, which premiered in May, 2026. The series is a spin-off of the hit drama A House Divided, where Simpson first introduced the character of Jupiter in a two-episode co-star appearance. Her standout performance quickly made the character a fan favorite, expanding the role into a recurring guest star and ultimately inspiring the spin-off series Jupiter Jones, with Simpson starring in the title role.
