Sophina DeJesus

Sophina DeJesus is of mixed ethnicity -Puerto Rican and African-American. She has a high pitched voice and infectious laugh. People say she warms up any room instantly. Working in TV, feature films, online media and on-stage, Sophina has been entertaining audiences since she was nine years old. She grew up in Temecula, California where she started gymnastics at the age of six at Fallbrook Gymnastics. Later, she was a series regular on the TLC children's television series, Hip Hop Harry, along with her sister. Her triple threat skills as singer/dancer/actress have served her well, and into her early twenties when named a multiple-time All-American and Pac-12 Freshman of the Week as well as a member of the United States National Gymnastics Team. Sophina represented her team while attending UCLA, and videos of her competition meets went viral with millions of views on Youtube and other social media platforms. This attracted personalities who invited Sophina to appear, including on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tom Joyner Morning Show and Muary. She has been offered speaking engagements at colleges around the country and has inspired youth around the globe to be multi-versed and balance their career goals with proper education and training. Sophina speaks English and Spanish. Her credits include MTV's Pretty Stoned, Rugrats (Marvel) Things you only know if you're a black girl on Tinder, The Affair- Showtime, Black Tiger. Her live dance and stage performances include working with Debbie Allen and Mattel. She grew up dancing hip hop, jazz and contemporary and shot many music videos. She still trains in dance and gymnastics and has her own channel where she shares tidbits on training and how-tos in her "Sophina The Diva" style. She also does fitness and print modeling and has been seen at many red carpet events to encourage young people to follow their dreams. Sophina has been featured in many campaigns for national commercials, creator projects and as an influencer to thousands of people. "I love to perform and make people happy. The motto I live by: "The world is your playground!" says Sophina.
