Paul Merryman(I)

Paul Merryman is a film & television producer with a focus on amazing true stories and all things genre. He holds an MFA in Producing from the American Film Institute and a BS in Radio, Television, and Film from the University of Texas at Austin. He started his career working for visionary film director Sam Raimi, eventually branching out on his own, producing the critically acclaimed Afghanistan War film The Outpost, based on the book by Jake Tapper and starring Scott Eastwood, Caleb Landry Jones, and Orlando Bloom. He currently runs Austin, Texas-based Capitol Film Company, where he maintains an active slate of development projects and produces films primarily in the state of Texas. He recently executive produced Down the Arm of God for Caleb Landry Jones and Luc Besson, Buy Nothing for The Duplass Bros., and Elastic Hearts, starring Cole Sprouse, Darby Lee-Stack, and Steven Dorff.
