- A native of Bedford, Nova Scotia, Paul attended Vancouver Film School, where he was named top student director in 2006-07. His short films have screened at festivals across North America, garnering awards at the Triggerstreet Online Short Film Festival (2008), Air Canada enRoute Film Festival (2007), and Yorkton Short Film Festival (2007).
Paul is also a graduate of Dalhousie University, and studied journalism at the University of King's College. Before starting his career as a filmmaker, he worked as a graphic designer.
