Biography

Michael Sykora is a WGC-nominated filmmaker based in Toronto, working as a director, editor, and writer across scripted, factual, and reality formats. He directed, wrote, edited, and narrated the documentary series "Botanical Jungle," earning a 2025 Writers Guild of Canada Award nomination, and directed the scripted comedy series "One Man's Treasure" starring Ron James and Patrick McKenna, as well as "Au Jus Confidential." As an editor, his credits include "The Amazing Race Canada," "Canada Shore," "Are You My First?," "All Star Shore," and "Home Town." Earlier work includes directing and hosting the VICE series "Abandonware" and a string of award-winning short films. He trained at the New York Film Academy.
