  • Born in Barcelona, Spain, Oscar Foronda's passion for performing began during childhood summer camps, where he participated in several school theatre plays. In the early 1990s, he landed his first roles in popular Spanish TV shows whilst joining a theatre company. In 2002, he garnered terrific reviews for his portrayal of Macduff in Shakespeare's Macbeth at the Barbican in London, directed by Calixto Bieito. To date, Foronda has appeared in over 70 films and TV series, including international productions such as The Crown (2016), Any Human Heart (2010), Mother Goose (2015), The Mallorca Files (2019), Riviera (2017), and more. He has also performed in esteemed productions in Arab countries. In addition to acting, Foronda is a passionate writer. In the TV show Stags (2024), Foronda plays Branco Quispe, a ruthless but passionate man who runs a lawless prison island with his sister, deciding who dies (and who lives).
