Biography

Nick Kovacic is a principal creative and Senior Editor at Digital Cave, where his dedication to his craft has thrived through collaboration and communication. His non-fiction work began with social advocacy projects supporting Baltimore neighborhoods where he could help make change through his craft. His latest documentary Agave - The Spirit of a Nation (2018), a feature length documentary about the family tradition of distilling agave spirits in México, premiered at SXSW. The film toured theatrically and has appeared in a number of world renowned film festivals.

In 2014 Nick won his first EMMY in outstanding achievement for a documentary for his directorial debut film Brewmore. His second film decanted about Napa Valley, California and the winemakers that chose to call it home, world premiered at the Napa Valley Film Festival and was immediately picked up as a Netflix exclusive film. His detail to story editing lead him forward to editing and co-producing Bastards Road, Slamdance best documentary, Santa Barbara FF best documentary. His most recent work has been senior editor on an unreleased Steven Van Zandt documentary with Universal Music and an upcoming music documentary for a globally touring artist
