Biography

Dominic Phillip Renda, Jr. was born in the beach town of Santa Monica, California, to Patricia Marie Renda, a former beauty pageant queen and Dominic Phillip Renda, an aviation pioneer, airline chairman and attorney. Dominic has an older sister Dominique who is a professional writer, photographer life coach and a younger brother Patrick who is an investment executive. His father was a first generation American of Italian immigrant parents and his mother is of English, Irish, German and Dutch ancestry. The family lived in the west Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood until his parents divorced in 1973, when Dominic and his siblings moved with his mother to the small beach community of Pacific Palisades.

Dominic spent most of this youth playing sports, in the ocean or on the beach of his coastal hometown and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. Born of a long line of strong, wise immigrants, who came to America to create a better life, Dominic understood the value of hard work-supporting himself through earning a Bachelor's Degree in Mixed Media Studio Arts from California State University, Long Beach, while maintaining near perfect GPA and pursuing his studies of acting, film and media production.

This life ethic is apparent in everything Dominic is involved in from the wide dramatic range and critically acclaimed ability captured on camera to his love of family, technology, environment and social good that he is dedicated to.

Dominic and his wife Kalyne Renda live in Santa Cruz, California with their five daughters.
