  • Richard Lormand (FilmPressPlus) has been working in international communication, publicity and film festival consultancy for the past 25 years, specializing in world premieres at the Berlin, Cannes, Venice, Toronto and San Sebastian festivals. He has worked on numerous award-winning films, including recent hits Samuel Maoz's FOXTROT, Maren Ade's TONI ERDMANN, Susanna Nicchiarelli's NICO 1988, Fatih Akin's IN THE FADE, Ildiko Enyedi's ON BODY AND SOUL and Lav Diaz's THE WOMAN WHO LEFT. Richard was part of the producing teams of Mitchell Lichtenstein's cult favorite TEETH, HAPPY TEARS and ANGELICA. He was also a producer on Amos Gitai's DISENGAGEMENT, starring Academy Award-winning actress Juliette Binoche. Richard is currently the foreign press consultant for Locarno Festival and Pingyao Film Festival. He is an advocate of quality subtitling, and considers how own English subtitles some of the finest work out there. Based in Paris, Richard began his career as a Reuter journalist in 1980s New York upon leaving his native Southwest Louisiana.
