Makenzie Bloomer in Solomon Grundy (2009)
Originally from the rural town of Blue Earth, Minnesota, Makenzie Caine began her career singing and dancing atop the above-ground, concrete well on her family's small horse farm. From there, she began performing in school and community musicals, dance recitals, and choral groups before deciding to pursue a degree at Brigham Young University's competitive Music Dance Theatre Program. She left BYU early to sing and dance for a year at Universal Studios in Japan, and shortly thereafter relocated to New York City. After studying at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Makenzie appeared in the Off-Broadway production of "The Rise of Dorothy Hale." She began her film and television career with roles in All My Children (1970) and As the World Turns (1956), and in 2012 appeared in That's What She Said (2012). Most recently, she starred in the feature length film Solomon Grundy (2012).

Makenzie is also a talented musician, having already released one original solo album with another being released in the summer of 2014.
