Mike Cuenca is a Cuban-American filmmaker, writer, editor, producer, composer, and musician known for his independent, self-financed approach to filmmaking. His feature films include Watch Them Come Blood, Boys About Town, In The Ditch, I'll Be Around, Odium For Ardor, and Like A Dirty French Novel.
Cuenca has developed a reputation for creating films outside the traditional studio system using non actors, small crews, and DIY production methods. His long running film series "Boys About Town" was developed over several years with a collective of collaborators across Los Angeles.
In addition to his filmmaking work, Cuenca serves as a video producer for the American Cinematheque. His screenplay "So Goes the Night" was a finalist in the 2020 American Zoetrope screenplay competition.
