  • Conductor and Producer with a demonstrated history of working in the music industry. She is the tour conductor for the rock group STYX and an award-winning educator. A champion of new music, Liza has commissioned and conducted over 500 world premieres all with the composers present. She has worked with soloists that include members of The Cleveland Orchestra, the Pacifica Quartet, Producer Michael Bradford, and other nationally recognized musicians. She has worked with rock artists Melissa Etheridge, Jason Mraz, Jon Anderson (Yes), Ben Folds, Kenny Loggins, Graham Nash, Jefferson Starship, Pat Benatar, Bootsy Collins, Ray Manzarek (Doors), Tommy Shaw, and Styx. She has collaborated with composers including Joan Tower, Michael Daugherty, Bernard Rands, John Kennedy, and Emmy-award-winning cartoon composers Julie and Steve Bernstein. Professional orchestra guest conducting positions include the Nashville Symphony, Jacksonville Symphony, and the Colorado Symphony and has conducted at Severance Hall, Schermerhorn Hall, Interlochen Center for the Arts, and Red Rocks Amphitheater. Liza has an immense catalog of contemporary programming for any level orchestra that includes cartoons, rock, full feature films, concertos and works by major composers. Awards include three ASCAP Awards for Adventurous Programming, Young Audiences of America Sunshine Award for Excellence in Arts Education, Northern Ohio Live Music Award, and the Cleveland Arts Prize.
