When he was growing up John's mother always thought he looked like Robert Wagner. On his first day of work on his first professional film, John worked with Robert Wagner (Netherbeast Incorporated).

In addition to appearing together on screen in "Netherbeast Incorporated", some years later Bill Lippincott and I both were simultaneously playing the role of Dr Bob in different biographical productions of the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous, Bill W & Dr. Bob.
