She worked predominantly in regional theatre and with small physical theatre companies for many years before becoming more engaged in radio-plays, audio-books and film. Holly did a number of short films before being cast as Netta, the lead actress for the feature "In The Bag" (2013).

While in a master class with Alan Arkin he asked her what her ideal role would be to which she responded, "I have always wanted to be a monster." Years later, Holly was cast as a zombie in "Here Alone" which received the Audience Choice award at the TriBeCa film festival in 2016.

After interrupting an undergraduate program in performance Anthropology to attend the International Dell 'Arte School, she finally got her BA, and later a Master's in Theatre Education and Social Change. Holly also still does Red Nose performances and other circus work.
