Zach Sands

Zach Sands is a documentary filmmaker, as well as a writer, scholar and musician. He has released multiple albums of original music and has won or placed in several screenwriting competitions over the years. He is also a college professor with a PhD in American Culture Studies and an MA in Film and Literature. An adaptation of his dissertation "Film Comedy and the American Dream" was published by Routledge in 2017 as part of their Advances in Film Studies series. As an undergraduate, he attended film school at Columbia College in Chicago, where he specialized in screenwriting and directing.
