- Christian was born in Puerto Rico to Cuban parents fleeing political persecution, eventually settling in El Paso, Texas. He discovered his love for the arts through theater and moved to Los Angeles at age 17 to pursue film and television. A graduate of the University of Southern California, Marymount California University, and the New York Film Academy, Christian's screenplays have been supported by the Sundance Institute, Film Independent, The Black List, and the National Association of Latino Independent Producers. In 2024, he received the prestigious Lynn Auerbach Screenwriting Fellowship from Sundance for his feature script "Quince Kings." His work often explores the Latin American experience through unexpected genres, ranging from dramedy to horror, science fiction to biopics.
