Biography

In 2000 he was awarded the Erasmus Prize.

In 1992 he was made Officer of the Order of Orange-Nassau.

Created more than 150 ballets performed by more than 90 international companies.

In 1993 he received the Deutscher Tanzpreis.

Internationally regarded as one of the grandmasters of contemporary ballet.
