- Adolf Abter was born on December 1, 1887 in Hanover, Germany. Adolf was a director and producer, known for Die Nacht und der Leichnam (1920), Zwei schwarze Laternen (1921) and Der goldene Skorpion (1921). - Adolf Abter was married with the singer Cilly Lasary.
- When he fled to France he was arrested and brought to the detention camp Drancy. It followed the deportation to the KZ Auschwitz Birkenau where he was murdered shortly afterwards.
- Before he became active in the film business he worked as a freelance writer and he wrote articles for the "Filmkurier" and for the "Hamburger Mittagsblatt".
