Biography

Born and raised in St Helens, Merseyside, England.

Before becoming an actor, Phil excelled in the sport of Rugby League where he played for Blackbrook, Lancashire, St Helens and Warrington schoolboys. His Dad, Alan played professional rugby for St Helens and Warrington Rugby League Clubs. While his Uncle Ken Gwilliam played for Salford, St Helens, Oldham & Cardiff

At aged 19 and on the cusp of a professional contract he suffered an injury that curtailed his playing career, so Phil turned to acting.
