Jose Ignacio Arrufat is a Madrid-based sound post-production professional and composer. He is best known internationally for his work as Sound Design Supervisor and Re-Recording Mixer on Netflix’s global hit Money Heist (La Casa de Papel). Known for shaping story through sound with a distinctly "boutique" approach: close collaboration, meticulous detail, and a strong narrative instinct from the earliest creative conversations to final deliverables.

As founder of La Palma 52 Sound, Arrufat works across fiction, documentary, and branded content, handling workflows that range from dialogue and sound editing to sound design, music, and final mixes. He is especially recognized for high-end television post, with deep expertise in Pro Tools and immersive formats such as Dolby Atmos, delivering mixes built to meet demanding platform standards while keeping emotion and clarity at the center of the soundtrack.

Alongside his studio work, Arrufat is active in the wider creative community-sharing insights on the evolution of cinematic sound-and he also leads the nonprofit Todos Juegan, which supports youth inclusion through sport, reflecting the same values that guide his work: craft, teamwork, and commitment.
