Has won 28 international caps for the Croatian national soccer team between 2001 and 2006, being their first-choice goalkeeper at the UEFA Euro 2004 finals as well as during the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. He was also a non-playing member of Croatia's squad at the FIFA World Cup finals in both 2002 and 2006.
