Biography

Andrey Sokolov was born on April 1, 1974. Andrey was a director and writer, known for To the South of North (2003), Mountain of Gems (2005) and The Foundling (2002). Andrey died on July 14, 2025 in Moscow, Russia.

Graduated from the animation courses of the Pilot studio in 1995. At the same time, Sokolov started working as an animator and story boarder. At the same time, he studied as a furniture engineer-technologist. Subsequently, in the 2000s, Sokolov graduated from the Department of Animation Film Directing at VGIK.
