Biography

Screenwriter and senior content development executive. Holds degrees in Social Communication (University of Havana, Cuba, accredited in Mexico) and in Cinema Arts (professional experience accredited by Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica, CCC, Mexico); and majored in Screenwriting for Film and TV at the International School of Film and Television (EICTV). He was also selected to participate in the international workshop "How to tell a story", taught by Nobel Prize in Literature Gabriel García Márquez and received a scholarship for the Screenwriting Program sponsored by TelevisaUnivision and the Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico) in 2015. Co-writer of the feature film Ticket to Paradise (Cuba-Spain-Venezuela; 2010), premiered at the Sundance Film Festival 2011 and nominated for the Goya Awards of the Spanish Film Academy in 2012 in the category of Best Ibero-American film, he has been part of several screenwriting and script-doctoring teams. Also coordinated the activities of the Industry Section of the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema in Havana, Cuba. Started collaborating with TelevisaUnivision in 2015 in the Content Development area, and now holds the position of Director - Content Fiction Development, developing drama series for broadcast television.
