- Lisa McGee was born on August 17, 1980 in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, UK. She is a writer and producer, known for Derry Girls (2018), The Deceived (2020) and Being Human (2008).
- Originally from Derry, Northern Ireland, Lisa read Drama at Queens University Belfast. She was writer on attachment at the Royal National Theatre London in 2006.
- In June 2022, she became the first woman to be nominated for the Freedom of the City award of her hometown Derry.
- Cousin of the actor Paul Mallon. He played the character of Dennis on her show, Derry Girls (2018).
