Tontxi Vazquez
Tontxi Vazquez, Creative Development Producer's successful background in acquisitions and licensing rights for film and photographic content IP to global broadcast and publishing, culminated in partnering with The Image Bank, Third Millennium Films. Vazquez is also a pioneer of web content, meta-data and electronic licensing of media content as well as digitization. Tontxi specializes in micro-low budget co-production films and documentaries under 10M. With a focus on UK-based foreign language films and alternative depictions of diverse cultures and omissions in history. As a creative development producer and award winning filmmaker he created a small start up production company Principal, Writer/Development Producer STOOPPIX/GFF (IMP Entertainment Company Limited -London -October 2007 to Present) to acquire stories and develop them into feature films, documentaries and as a provider of fresh media content. Currently he has a slate of 11 projects. I am especially oriented in the arena of specialized content for motion pictures, sound and or publishing and so, creative IP is a passion. His initial predilection were biological science-upon discovering the poetic depths of photography and backpacking which lead to the Arts and many moons of avid literature and writing and mentoring in these categories he realized that the combination of everything he ever did was naturally cinema! In production and in post are 2 documentaries CB-CB (working title) based on Lord Cecil Beaton's only USA Photo-Assistant and HARLEM'S LAST POET/Abiudon Oyewole founder of The Last Poets. A photographic monograph THE NOISE OF TIME is complete. He was a 2009 and 2010 Cannes Marche Producers Network select. This also includes a side of exhibiting fine arts, art book publishing, managing a Dstock & the JAV/archivo a photo archive spanning 40+ years of looking into Latino culture and curating-in essence following through on time-based creative intellectual property projects and activities. He has collaborated recently with jazz pianist Noah Haidu's DOCTONE documentary about the late pianist extraordinaire Kenny Kirkland featured are Sting and iconic jazz figures. he was selected to be artist advisory board committee member to help curate an extended NEW YORK, NEW MUSIC 1980-1986 for 2021-2022 Museum of The City of NY exhibition. In the interim he produced a short THE COMPOSER by Getty photographer David Troncoso, a background in music has added to his producing palette.

I have been associated with Stephen Earnhardt (ex-Dir. of Prod. Miramax) Victoria Ford (Steel Carrot" "Mule Skinner Blues") 1st. Tribeca Film Festival/ Special Events, Paul Mezey, Gill Holland and Galt Niederhoffer ("Myth America" "Hurricane Streets," "Maria full of Grace" "Beast of the Southern Wind") of Gi'ven Films.
