Biography

George Gervin was born on April 27, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He is an actor, known for Marty Supreme (2025), Uncle Drew (2018) and NBA Hardwood Classics (1984). He has been married to Joyce King since October 9, 1985.

Began pro career with the ABA's Virginia Squires in 1973. Traded to the San Antonio Spurs in 1974 and remained with the Spurs through the NBA-ABA merger all the way until 1985. Spent final season, 1985-1986, with the Chicago Bulls.

Played college basketball at Eastern Michigan University.

1980 NBA All-Star Game MVP.

Led NBA in scoring 3 straight seasons, 1978-1979 to 1980-1981, and again in 1982-1983.
