Jon Brence

Jon Brence (KawaiiGuy®) is a producer, director, author, and culture historian. For twenty years they have worked inside the businesses that shape online entertainment, managing and mentoring creators including Jacksfilms, Cyr, PopularMMOs, and Critical Role while at Fullscreen and Twitch.

Across the same two decades they have worked alongside Japanese companies including Sanrio and Square Enix, and they now share Japan's history and cultural influence with audiences of their own. They still produce videos every week for an audience of over 100,000, and they are the author of "Create With Purpose", a book about building a creative career that lasts.

They are well-known across the internet for their work with sketch comedy groups SMBC Theater, 5SecondFilms, Cyanide & Happiness, as well as Twitch on main stage programming & brand outlets.

Jon is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama (BFA).
