Biography

Brona is an Irish comedy writer and actor.

As an actor, Brona is best known for her appearances in TV comedies such as Motherland, Avoidance, The Outlaws, Buffering, Tracey Ullman's Show and The Reluctant Landlord. Other screen acting roles include Women on the Verge, The Stand Up Sketch Show, Born Silly, and yet to be announced upcoming roles in both TV and film in 2025. Brona is also a prolific TV comedy writer in the UK and Ireland. Brona studied English and Drama at Trinity College Dublin, before moving to London to train as an actor at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Brona lives in London and Dublin, and is a long time friend and collaborator of comic Aisling Bea, writer Tony Cooke, and writer / actor Amy Huberman. Brona won the BAFTA Rocliffe New Comedy Writing Award in 2013.
