  • Paul was raised as a sports fanatic in the tiny town of Owego, in upstate New York. Despite his size, he was a starting point for four years in college at Binghamton University and SUNY Cortland. He was also an assistant coach/recruiter for one year at Cortland.

    Paul then transitioned into TV, landing a sports anchor job with KRCR, an ABC Affliate in California. He covered the Sacramento Kings, Oakland Raiders and San Francisco Giants. Morrissey also became know for his humorous "Daily Show" style correspondent pieces which were not always seen as funny by the owner of the station. During this time he began doing standup comedy and fell in love performing for a live audience.

    Paul eventually quit his TV job moved to NYC to pursue a full-time career in comedy while earning at Master's Degree at NYU. He also trained at the UCB Theater for Improv Acting and Sketch writing.

    Morrissey gained exposure when he made his network television debut on "The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson" on CBS. He was so well received that Paul was asked to make three more appearances on "The Late, Late Show." In July of 2014 Morrissey reached the goal of every standup comedian by making his debut "The Late Show with David Letterman" on CBS.

    He was also featured as a sports reporter in Nike Commercials with LA Clippers star Chris Paul. Morrissey is also a talented writer, working on a CBS pilot produced by Matt Damon & Ben Affleck titled "More Time With Family" (2014) starring Tom Papa and Allyson Hannigan.

    Morrissey was selected to perform at the 2015 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, 2015 Lucille Ball Festival, 2013 Great American Comedy Festival (Johnny Carson) Norfolk,NE, and was one of only five North American comedians selected to perform at the 2013 Montreux Comedy Festival in Switzerland.

    The recent TV exposure has put Paul in high demand as a headliner at clubs and colleges across the US and Canada. He also performs frequently at The Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, Laugh Factory, The Hollywood Improv.

    Morrissey is a frequent guest on the "Artie Lange Uncensored Podcast" and also "Bennington" on Sirius/XM radio. He released his third CD with Rooftop Comedy Records called "Paul Morrissey's Back." He also hosts the Alley Oop Podcast with sports writers and comedians like Jim Gaffigan, Artie Lange & Larry Miller.
