Rebecca Perez Stodolny is an animation director, supervisor, and storyteller with more than two decades of experience bringing unforgettable characters to life. A Disney and Pixar Animation Studios alumna, her credits include award-winning films such as Encanto, Soul, Onward, Strange World, and Raya and the Last Dragon. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about creating authentic, emotionally resonant performances that connect with audiences around the world.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Rebecca discovered her love for animation at an early age. She attended the Computer Animation Magnet Program at South Miami Senior High School before earning her MFA in Computer Animation from Ringling College of Art and Design. Her artistic journey has been driven by a deep belief in the power of storytelling to inspire, unite, and reflect the richness of diverse experiences.
A proud Cuban-American Latina creative leader, Rebecca is committed to championing representation both on and off the screen. During her time at Disney Animation, she was an active member of Familia, a group of artists and filmmakers who served as cultural consultants and advocates for authentic Latinx representation in storytelling. She continues to share her heritage and experiences with aspiring artists, as a volunteer mentor with Rise Up Animation, encouraging the next generation of storytellers to bring their unique voices to the industry.
