- Calef's attachment to "Can You Hack It" started with a late-night bet with celebrated hacker Adrian Lamo. After meeting Calef in an on-line chat room, a bored Lamo wagered that, with nothing but Calef's first name and Internet name, he could be at Calef's door within 15 minutes.
14 minutes later, Calef was buying Lamo coffee, and both had made a new friend.
