Julia Conley is a journalist, actress, and cultural producer, and the founder of Between The Lines, a literary salon and interview series spanning Paris and London.
Working at the intersection of culture, media, and the creative economy, her work centers on conversation as a form of cultural preservation-bringing together writers, artists, and thinkers through intimate salons, live interviews, and editorial storytelling.
Julia began her career as a model and actress before transitioning behind the scenes into creative production and strategy. She first made her mark at Mixer - The Creative Network, where she led marketing and community initiatives for a global platform connecting creatives across industries.
She later served as Director of Events & Programming at Spring Studios in New York, producing large-scale cultural moments including New York Fashion Week activations, collaborations with designer Mia Vesper, and the Red Room music series, featuring artists such as Diplo, Kaytranada, and Aluna.
With roots in New York’s Greenwich Village-where her grandfather was part of the scene surrounding The Gaslight Café-her work carries forward a lineage of intimate, artist-led gathering spaces.
Through Between The Lines, Julia has created a modern salon rooted in both New York and Europe-now based between Paris and London-designed to explore the ideas shaping contemporary culture through literature, conversation, and live experience.
