Biography

Trenton Waterson is an award-winning producer whose 20-plus-year career spans major studio filmmaking, critically acclaimed independent productions, and creator-driven storytelling.

Waterson spent seven years at Marvel Studios, working in creative development and production during the formative years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His credits include Thor, The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Captain America: Civil War, and Spider-Man: Homecoming. Alongside his studio career, Waterson built an independent producing career focused on emerging filmmakers and ambitious original work, including the acclaimed feature documentary drama Little Hope Was Arson, which premiered at Slamdance and was subsequently distributed by Netflix and PBS, and the 2026 feature thriller Breeder, which premiered at Tribeca before its release by IFC Films and Shudder.

Most recently, Waterson served as Vice President of Production at Nebula, supervising development and production across an expanding slate of original films, series, documentaries, and creator-led projects. During his tenure, a particular focus was helping emerging digital creators carry the voices and audiences they had built on digital platforms into more ambitious cinematic storytelling, pairing creators with talent, production teams, and industry relationships to realize that evolution.
