- Jon Klassen was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. He is known for City of Ember (2008), Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011) and Coraline (2009).
- Jon's first illustrated book, "Cats' Night Out", won the Canadian Governor General's Award, in 2010, which was written by Carolyn Stutson.
- Graduated in 2005, from Sheridan College, Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
- "The Wolf, the Duck, and the Mouse", won the EB White Read-Aloud Picture Book Award, in 2018, written by Mac Barnett & illustrated by Jon Klassen.
- Jon Klassen, award-winning children's author and illustrator, named to the Order of Canada, June 29, 2018.
- "Sam & Dave Dig a Hole", won the Caldecott Medal, in 2015; and, The E.B. White Read Aloud Award, in 2015, written by Mac Barnett & illustrated by Jon Klassen.
