Biography

Cristina Frías is an award-winning Latina actor-director, educator, and artivista recently recognized as a "Latina of Influence" by Hispanic Lifestyle.

Cristina can be seen as Judge Janet Sloane in the upcoming "Lantern" Series (HBO), Season 1, opposite Kyle Chandler, August 2026. You can also catch her English voice performance as NANA in "House of Spirits" on Amazon Prime, April 2026.

Cristina can be "seen and heard" on popular shows streaming on Netflix, CBS, HBO, Amazon Prime and Audible Original.

She has performed on stages throughout the U.S., in Latin America, Europe and East Africa. Acting credits include work with Center Theater Group, Kennedy Center, Pasadena Playhouse, South Coast Repertory, LA Philharmonic, Getty Villa Independent Shakespeare, San Francisco Mime Troupe, Cornerstone Theater Co., Playwright's Arena, Watts Village Theater, Teatro Luna, Campo Santo and CASA 0101.

Cristina studied Shakespeare at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA Summer intensive) and received her MFA in Acting from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). She holds a B.A. in Sociology from Cal Berkeley.

Cristina teaches acting for the stage and screen and loves learning alongside her students! They teach her how to be a better human and actor.
