- An artist is ultimately remembered for creating an uncompromised body of work. Uncompromised, unfettered and fiercely passionate.
- The stories we are destined to tell find us.
- We are sinners and saints in equal measure, our contradictions continually shaping our humanity and if we deny these paradoxes, we deny the existence of the very evolution that got us here.
- For centuries we've been conditioned to celebrate our soldiers for walking into a hail of bullets, miraculously killing every last enemy-soldier before dying grand deaths. These heroic tales are as necessary as they are sometimes untrue because every war must have it's heroes. So be it. History however has proven time and again that wars are not won by Don Quixote's but by men who display a grass-root understanding of the enemy along with an intelligent strategy that is impeccably executed.
- Are infinite possibilities a storyteller's worst enemy or best friend? I'd say a bit of both really and one must be grateful for this paradox.
- Stories choose us, not the other way around.
