Biography

Rey Rodriguez is a Latino Assistant Director (DGA) known for his work on Will Trent, Ballers, Shameless, Station 19, Moonlight, and Burn Notice. Rey has successfully navigated the IATSE, SAG and DGA protocols of both east and west coast productions. In addition to his work as an Assistant Director, Rey is also known for his Directing/Producing work on the independent films Ifrit (2024), Across the Rails (2018), High Ready (2017), Lyla (2015), One Love (2015) and music videos Cold Summer (2017), Kickback (2018). Rey is also a recipient of a Miami Life Award for his directorial work One Love (Comedy), and a Rincon International Film Festival Excellence Award for his producing/directing work on Lyla (Drama). Since completing his time with the U.S.M.C, filmmaking has been his main focus and passion. Rey will continue to tell his stories through TV and Film.
